For years, seasonal decorating felt like an all-or-nothing effort — bring everything out, then pack it all away a few weeks later. Lately, I’ve been drawn to a softer approach: seasonal decor that adds warmth and beauty without demanding constant change.

That’s the perspective I recently shared when I was honored to be featured as a design expert in The Spruce. The focus was on decor that transitions effortlessly from season to season — evergreen pieces that feel like home year-round.

Life can feel loud and chaotic, especially with everything that’s happening in the world on top of overflowing schedules, endless notifications and clutter that literally sneaks up overnight. (Seriously!) To me, creating a calming environment isn’t about perfection or minimalism taken to extremes. It’s about surrounding yourself with a few key comforting items that quietly support your day, bring a smile to your face or provide a subtle sense of serenity.
