Peach Is the New Pink: A Fresh Color Palette for Valentine’s Day

I love a classic pink and red combo, but if you are looking to put a new twist on the typical bold reds, bubblegum pinks and bold heart decor, I hear you! After all of the Christmas hustle, I’m ready for something a little less bold, less themed and a lot more soft, sophisticated and romantic. Think muted peach tones, warm neutrals, natural textures and subtle details you can keep out long after February 14.

If you love cozy spaces, timeless decor and seasonal touches that don’t overwhelm your home, this one’s for you!

The Color Palette: Peach, Neutrals and Classic Textures
This palette instantly feels calmer and more sophisticated — and it can blend seamlessly with everyday decor. Instead of traditional Valentine’s colors, I built this look around:

  • Soft peach and rose gold

  • Whites, creams and ivories

  • A touch of green

  • Warm wood tones

  • Aged gold accents

Pillow Covers: The Easiest Seasonal Swap
If you change one thing for Valentine’s Day, let it be your accent pillow covers. They’re inexpensive, easy to store and can instantly shift the mood of a space.

This year, I have opted for solid peach tones and subtle textures rather than bold prints. Linen, velvet or lightly woven fabrics add interest without overpowering the room. I love incorporating unique pillows—especially dimensional pieces like 3D flower shams in a mix of sizes and textures. This 18×18 beauty pairs perfectly with accent pillow covers featuring the word “love” in elegant gold lettering for just the right touch of romance.

Pro Tip: Stick with neutral inserts and basic pillow sizes so you can rotate covers seasonally.

A Balloon Arch, But Make It Soft & Subtle
Balloon arches don’t have to feel juvenile or over-the-top. Using muted peach, ivory and rose gold balloons creates a playful yet elevated statement — perfect for a Valentine’s brunch or Galentine’s gathering.

Don’t overthink it when putting it together. Seriously. You can keep it slightly imperfect for a relaxed, effortless look. I also love to incorporate faux flowers, pampas grass to add some visual interest and elevate the vibe even further. So pretty!

This is the balloon arch kit I used recently for a party. It did not disappoint! Guests were wowed by it as they walked in the door!

Pro Tip: Add faux flowers and pampas grass to really boost the luxe look.

I also love this peachy fabric backdrop! It is so pretty and does not wrinkle. Gorgeous and so easy.

Valentine’s Tablescape: Layered, Romantic and Not Theme-y
For your table, focus on layers rather than novelty bold red and pink decor.

Start with a basic white tablecloth and add in peach chiffon runners. Next, add in some vintage bud vases with real and faux flowers to really drive home the romantic feel. I also love to add some gold taper candle holders with rechargeable flameless taper candles. I have been using these candles and holders all year round.

If you have a rectangular table, a eucalyptus or boxwood garland is a great way to create structure in your tablescape. Layer in florals and candles along the length of the table to add softness, depth, and a warm, inviting glow.

For another subtle hint of peach romance throughout your home, don’t be afraid to add bows to candlesticks or wall hangings. Bows are having a moment, and I especially love this bow garland paired with soft, in addition to this velvet peach ribbon for an extra pretty touch.

Decor You Can Leave Up All Season
My favorite part of this look? Nothing feels temporary. Every piece, from the pillow covers to the bud vases, works well beyond Valentine’s Day and transitions beautifully into spring.

Final Thoughts: Valentine’s Day, Reimagined
If traditional Valentine’s decor isn’t your thing this year, peach might be the perfect alternative. It’s warm, inviting and just romantic enough — without overwhelming your home.

Decorating doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful. Sometimes, the softest details make the biggest impact!
